Signage – mural refresh helps museum wow donors
With a high-visibility donor event looming, the pressure was on for this large-scale update of museum gallery murals. Instead of refreshing spaces in cycles, as is the norm, the museum director wanted to fast-track the refresh in two months or less. Believing that artistic quality, creativity and visual impact were the keys to boosting donations, she contacted us to help her with her signage project.
To create the unique visual effects the museum desired, our design team experimented with various combinations of metallic and colored vinyl, and high-quality acrylic label material. After
the director selected from our design options, the mural files were created. One by one, the murals were reviewed, approved, cut and installed–many times within 24 to 48 hours per wall.
The project’s scope and timeline required close collaboration with the museum’s curators, marketers and exhibit staff.
All murals were completed a few days earlier than the aggressive, two-month target and the museum director was extremely pleases. Based on attendance, membership renewals and other metrics, museum officials declared the donor event a smashing success. Coming through for our client and meeting her tight schedule helped cement our standing as the museum’s exclusive signage vendor and valued strategic partner.
