Challenge:

Sutter’s Retreat, a beach community resort, California underwent a dramatic remodeling and rebranding effort, which included the addition of their new spa. While they were quite confident the spa would generate revenue from its hotel guests, they also wanted to offer their spa services to local residents with a monthly, subscription-based, customizable spa program. They just weren’t sure where and how to begin, so we arranged a meeting to learn more about their offerings and goals.

 

Solution:

Once we obtained a targeted mailing list of prospects within a 5-mile radius, we began the first of many waves of direct mail, introducing the new spa. We also created signage and collateral designed to entice tourists and local residents to come visit the spa. To further develop the campaign, we proposed mail list procurement, design, print and fulfillment of the direct mail postcards. The client also needed plastic membership cards for guests, robes embroidered with Sutter’s logo, referral cards, welcome booklets for new members, table tents, sales flyers and brochures, posters, wall graphics and decals.

 

Results:

Sutter’s Retreat had a successful launch and based on their feedback, they attribute a large part of their local membership client base to our efforts. Their guests are a good mix of resort guests, as well as neighbors from the local community. We were able to prove that an integrated marketing approach using many types of media is the best way to launch a new business. They agreed and even left us a glowing online review!
